Two new World Records broken in Nove Město nad Metují, Czech Republic

Two new World Records broken in Nove Město nad Metují, Czech Republic Friday the 13th of July was a lucky day for organisers and especially for teams of France and Canada at FITA Para-Archery World Ranking Tournament when two World Records were broken on the second day of the event.

Male team of France shot the world record in recurve division and male team of Canada in compound division.
The world elite performance has been presented in elimination by 24 arrows for 70m.

The Team of France composed from Alexandre LASVENES, Joël PERROT and Armando CABREIRA shot 220 points; three points more than previous world record held by Russia.


The Team of Canada by Kevin EVANS, Alec DENYS and Robert HUDSON reached 230 points which improved one year old record by teams of Korea and Italy by two points.

The Para-Archery World Ranking Tournament is being held in Nove Mesto nad Metuji, Czech Republic, from July 10 thru 15, 2012; for 120 archers from 19 countries the tournament means the last international test before Paralympic Games in early September in London.
