World Para-Archery in Nove Mesto nad Metuji
Nove Mesto nad Metuji, CZE, became a capital of World Para-Archery Elite archers from 20 countries came to Nove Mesto nad Metuji, Czech Republic, to take part in the Para-Archery World Ranking Tournament being held in July 2 through 6, 2013
Besides scores for World ranking the archers shoot for their national nominations to the Para-Archery World Championships in Bangkok, THA in early November this year. For this reason there is being shot same competition format FITA round plus 70m elimination for recurve division and 50m round (qualification and elimination) for the compound one.
The largest teams that arrived to Nove Mesto are Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France and USA. The most distant are teams from Mongolia, Brasil and Hong-Kong.
Individuals, men and women, compete divided into two divisions: recurve and compound bows, as well as split into four categories: tetraplegics (W1), sitting (W2), standing (ST) and Compound OPEN (CO).
Furthermore there is a team contest of men compound OPEN, women compound OPEN, men recurve, women recurve and mixed teams.
After training, equipment control and classification on Monday and Tueasday, there was elimination on Wednesday and Thursday followed by medal matches on Friday and Saturday.
